Required Standardized Test: GRE General Exam
Minimum Admissions Requirements: Same as the Graduate School
Additional Admissions Criteria: Candidates must submit a portfolio review of work completed in the past year, sit for a personal interview (optional), and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in art and art history courses completed at the junior-senior level. Further, applicants must submit three letters of recommendation and a letter of intent. The applicants for the M.A.Ed. in Art Education must hold or be eligible for the North Carolina "A" teaching license in art.

Prerequisites: The program is open to students with undergraduate degrees in fields other than business. However, at the time of the admissions decision the program director will list the undergraduate leveling courses needed by such students in order to provide an adequate background for the M.A.Ed. or M.A.T. programs. These courses will not count toward the graduate degree.
