The WCU Family Association Leadership Team will consist of the following individuals:
Chairperson (elected)
Associate Chairperson (elected)
Member-At-Large (3) (elected)
Director of Outreach and Assessment(appointed)
Director of Orientation (appointed)
Student Representative (2) (appointed)
Responsibilities
1) The Family Association Leadership Team serves as the representative voice of Family Association members in communicating with the University.
2) Leadership Team members coordinate efforts in:
Recruiting new Family Association members
Assisting with Open House and Orientation programs
Promoting of Family Weekend and other University events
Fund-raising and selection of student recipients for the Family Association Scholarships
Providing overall support and guidance of students and their families
3) Leadership Team Members will meet twice a year, during the fall and spring semester.
Duties of Family Association Leadership Team
Chairperson
Serve as representative voice of Family Association members
Assist in communicating pertinent information between the Family Association and the University via Family Matters Newsletter
Assist Coordinator of Family Programs in scheduling Leadership Team meetings
Serve as member of Family Association Scholarship selection committee
Contribute to planning process for Family Weekend
Associate Chairperson
Assume responsibilities of chairperson in his or her absence and assist as needed
Contribute to planning process for Family Weekend
Assist with recruiting new members
Meet with area families
Member-At-Large
Assist with Open House and Orientation programs
Assist with recruiting new members
