Reading Center
The Reading Center is part of the Department of Elementary and Middle Grades Education (EMGE) in Western Carolina University's College of Education and Allied Professions. The center also is home to Western's Reading Education Program.
We provide enrichment, tutoring, and informal evaluation services to college students and school-age children and their parents.
We also provide services to Western North Carolina school districts and their teachers. Home to the Teacher Resource Library, the center houses over 9,500 books and other teaching materials.
