During the Week of Welcome for fall 2008, student organizations will have the opportunity to participate in the first annual Cat Fair. Designed especially for students, the Cat Fair will feature tables set up on the UC Lawn where student organizations will be able to showcase their particular group. No sales will be allowed, but organizations are encouraged to bring organization and membership information, as well as giveaways to potential members.

Make-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundae stations will also be set up to encourage student attendance. This is a terrific opportunity for student groups to market their particular organization to new and returning students, and it is strongly encouraged that you participate!

This year’s Cat Fair will take place on Tuesday, August 19, and will run from 4:00-7:00pm. Organizations can begin setting up at 3:30pm. Should you decide to participate, an email will be sent to your contact person with more specific information before the actual date.

Due to Valley Ballyhoo being severely hampered by the weather on Saturday, August 16, the 2008 Cat Fair is now opened to all WCU-affiliated departments and organizations. Please turn in the above registration form. Registration ends on Tuesday, August 19, at 12:00pm.
